TIFOSY CAPITAL & ADVISORY ADVISES AK CALCIO HOLDINGS LTD ON ITS ACQUISITION OF A.C. PISA CALCIO 1909.
Tifosy Capital & Advisory advised AK Calcio Holdings Ltd, the investment company of Alexander Knaster (Founder and Chairman of global investment management firm Pamplona Capital Management and active philanthropist) on its 75% majority acquisition of the operating company and assets of Serie B professional football club AC Pisa 1909.
The acquisition is AK Calcio’s first investment into professional sports and sees the company partner with minority shareholder and existing Chairman, Giuseppe Corrado, with a clear vision for the long-term potential of AC Pisa and Italian professional football. AC Pisa 1909 was selected following a strategic review of Italian professional football assets.
Tifosy acted as AK Calcio’s exclusive financial advisor on the transaction, from strategy and screening to due diligence, negotiations, and deal execution. The team was led by the firm’s founder Fausto Zanetton and managing directors Tommy Aylmer and Marco Re.
